September 2025 we had the pleasure of hosting an event for one our clients at the Hyatt Regency Birmingham – as we are based within the West Midlands we love to support and work with local suppliers and venues. Our client had combined various elements together for this event due to complexities faced with diaries.
We combined an awards lunch, celebratory dinner and 2 day conference event to ensure maximum attendance across the clients business. Kick starting with the awards lunch for 110 people, welcome drinks receptions upon arrival followed by a choice 3 course menu before leading into the awards ceremony which we supplied the bespoke awards, lanyards, name/menu cards as well as additional theming used within the space. After this many attendees travelled home but those who were attending the conference we arranged their accommodation.

The two day conference had various elements – upon arrival attendees collecting their bespoke lanyards before finding their event goodies on their place settings. We had branded eco bags, pen, adapter charger, sweet cone and printed token ticket – before enjoying welcome refreshment networking sessions. Day One was a full day conference with all attendees in the main space – we had stalls outside the space for the client to host various stalls for attendees to visit during refreshment breaks or buffet lunch – having branded garments such as hoodies, gilets, beanies and t-shirts which guests could redeem using their token.
After the full day conference was done we cleared the space ready for the evening event – as all attendees were staying overnight ahead of the next day conference. Hosting a drinks reception on the balcony of the Hyatt before heading into the main space where guests enjoyed a set 3 course dinner menu with an evening quiz and networking organised and hosted by the client internally. All AV was supported by CPL team who we work with closely on many events.
Final day conference involved setting all backdrops, branding cubes and worksheets out – ahead of the attendee arrival bright and early. We had a breakout session in which groups rotated into throughout the morning to keep people engaged, before having a final round up followed by a relaxed buffet networking lunch. By creating a relaxed end to the event, those who had flights or further travel journeys were able to depart accordingly. Before breaking down and loading all banners, garments, branded cubes, writing materials with our driver who was able to return back to the clients office in London the following day as requested for them to reuse and utilise at future events and within their offices to ensure we are sustainable and value for money for the client.
